George E. Evans, Jr. DDSDr. Evans graduated from Bowie State University where he received a BS Degree in Communications; completed a pre-dental Post Baccalaureate Program at Towson University; and is a graduate of The University of Maryland School of Dentistry.

The Dental profession and dentistry has been a way of life for me and my family. My father graduated from dental school when I was a young child, and established a very successful dental practice in Maryland called Dental Care of Baltimore!

I began working with my father at Dental Care of Baltimore, as the business operations and office manager. As office manager, I was involved in every aspect of the practice, including insurance processing, patient coordination, billing, marketing, as well as closing patient treatment plans. This work experience and opportunity provided me with invaluable insight about myself and my personal skills and abilities. It became clear to me that dentistry is the profession that I was meant to pursue. Working alongside my Dad, becoming intimately familiar with patient treatment plans and procedures were a great learning experience. As well, frequent attendance at advanced dental technology and technique seminars was exciting. Quite frankly, I learned what it takes to run a successful dental practice and the importance of providing quality care to every single patient. More importantly, I have learned and experienced what it means to offer a service that can potentially change someone’s life.

My goal as a Dentist is to do my best to change patient’s reality about dentistry, and to assure them that good oral care can improve their quality of life. I am excited to have become a part of the Dental Care Team.

KIRA EVANS, DDS

Dr. Kira EvansDr. Kira Evans, affectionately referred to as Dr. “K” by our patients and staff, has been with the practice for approximately 2 years. Dr. K is the daughter of Dr. George and Sharon Evans.

Dr. K grew up in Carroll County until the age of 15. She attended Green Mountain Valley High School, a ski academy in Vermont, where she trained and participated in local and global ski races and studied abroad in France. After graduation, she attended Stanford University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology. Dr. K then earned a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. During her tenure at Johns Hopkins Dr. K studied and published several papers relating to kidney disease among African-Americans.

Dr. K attended the University Of Maryland School Of Dentistry where she was selected for the Oral Surgery clerkship due to her excellent clinical skills and aptitude for dental surgery. Dr K continues to develop her skills and knowledge of oral surgery through intensive continuing education. Most recently, Dr K has completed a one-year comprehensive dental implant residency program where she has mastered the basics in implant treatment planning, implant placement, implant restorations, and advanced bone grafting techniques.
